Pennsylvania continues to push ahead and set a new standard for gambling in casinos throughout the United States. In the past, many laws have been put in place regulating the casinos and how much they are able to generate in revenue based on their table games versus slot machine ratio. In a recent passing of laws, one such provision that would change the current law throughout the casinos was amended and quietly slipped into existence. The table game bill for gambling casinos consists of over 160 pages that must be leafed through in order to allow the table games to hit the gambling floors.

In the latest transactions, there was a renegotiation of the law that was placing a four year limitation on casinos to allow only 50% of the games on the floor for table games. As of January 7, this law no longer exists and will not take effect on the Pennsylvania casinos. All of this was part of Senate Bill 711, section 1210 of the Pennsylvania gaming act. It is within this section that the 50% limit was removed and therefore signed off on. At this point are no longer caps on the gaming limits which has inspired many casinos as well as providers such as International Gaming Technology, one of the largest providers of casino gambling games throughout the world.

The limits that were placed on the casinos took place in three different states in the north. New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania were the only three states that had limits on the percentage of gaming within the casino floors. Now all three of those states have listed those limits and are free to access the full amount of the casino floor for gaming purposes. In 2006, the law was implemented in order to keep the casinos as slot machine only casinos and prevent the table games from overcoming the entire casino floor. IGT is excited about the new movement towards the future as they take ownership and a large majority of the casinos throughout the United States and stand to gain from this new process.
